I went to Sopapillas in Franklin TN today for lunch with my girlfriend. This is an upper end Mexican/ Southwest cuisine. For many people who don't know a sopapilla is fried bread. We started out by getting the dip sampler. It consisted of chili con queso, bean dip, and guacamole. The chili con queso would be the one of the three I would recommend. It is combined with a little corn/bean salsa, very good. If you like guacamole I would have tosay it is some of the best around. For my meal I ordered the green chili burger with a fried egg on top. They brought it out burnt the first time, but the waitress was very nice and brought another and docked 5$ off my tab. The burger was fantastic the second time the green chili wasn't spicy and added a lot of flavor. I personally love fried eggs on burgers so that only added to the deliciousness. To top it off I put honey on the burger, the sweetness mixed in with the stronger chili taste was just right. I would highly recommend it. To end the meal they brought out sopapillas and when you drizzle honey on top of those it just makes a perfect combination. I really enjoyed this restaurant, and I would encourage anyone who likes Mexicanesque food to eat here.
